Hello there! I am back at writing again after a long break and I've got plenty of news.
Thanks to unexpected nice weather, I feel like I'm emerging from hibernation. My last 6 months have been very intense and I was so focused on my job that time just flew by. But I was very productive and I'm finally glad to announce some exciting news!
As some of you know, I had started to work for the interior design company Design Command in July 2016. It's a growing company where people are encouraged to be pro-active and a sleeves-rolled-up attitude is essential. This new position turned out to be a life-changing experience: I started to take more responsibilities, being in charge of my own projects, and I became much more independent.
I improved my self-confidence and felt ready for a new challenge: going part-time and focusing on my own project, my blog, which so far had just been a safe place where I randomly collected inspiration.
The positive aspect of working with companies is that it allows me to design public spaces like restaurants, offices, and hotels, dealing with big clients that I wouldn't reach on my own. It's an interesting world that I enjoyed for 3 years so far but I also wanted more freedom and that's why freelancing seemed to be the best choice for me.
So now I spend 3 days a week working freelance on hospitality projects and I dedicate the rest of my time to writing this blog. I'm also enjoying my time off going to exhibitions and getting inspired by the many attractions that London offers.
Last but not least, I started to provide my own residential interior design service... ONLINE! If you haven't heard about it yet, EDesign is an online service that makes interior design accessible to everyone. So, wherever you live, if you need help with your home renovation you can contact me through my EDesign page and I'll be happy to provide you with a tailored service that suits your needs.
I lived in 4 different cities within the last 4 years and enjoyed it so much that I realised I want to keep a nomadic lifestyle in the future. That's why the idea of EDesign came to me so that I can keep doing my work wherever I go. And I'd like to share my new experiences with you through this blog. I hope you'll enjoy this journey with me.
What else? Stay tuned for more news!
