Hello Design Lovers! As the end of 2020 approaches, I thought it'd be nice to send out my personal wishes for a great start of 2021 and to have a quick recap of what I've been up to this year, and all the things that changed. Much happened, and looking back now, it seems like a lot more than just a year has passed, doesn't it? But let's move on, here are the most important things that happened to us at A Designer at Heart in 2020!
Like many in these strange times, we also worked remotely adapting our processes and resetting our mindset to this new normal.
Despite the logistical difficulties, along with our clients and partners, we completed 9 more projects focusing even more on sustainability and new and innovative trends in the industry.
Our marketing manager became partner to strengthen our online activities and presence. At the same time we also significantly expanded our freelancers network involving some amazing and trusted professionals.
Even in lockdowns and restrictions weighing on everyone's professional life, a number of amazing people organised online events, workshops, and activities. We didn't want to miss the opportunity so we got more involved with Amara IBA, The Class of 2020, Property Week, and more.
In 2020, we renewed A Designer at Heart with fresh branding, and developed a new, more functional, and overall better website! But we've also been publishing more content to engage with developers, designers, and even students.
Despite everything, we feel we have been extremely lucky to be able to keep working and realising so many great projects this year, while many others struggled. So, we decided to give back something by donating to two charities that we feel very close to us and our personal and company values: Student Mind and Treedom. One works for mental health and development among students and university communities, the other for sustainability and a greener future. We felt it was important for us to get involved in both these important causes.
We'll keep working to deliver unique designs with a strong personality and a careful eye to your branding. But we'll also
keep producing interesting content online trying to diversify as much as possible.
This was a challenging year on many levels, but for me, the positive message is that all the way through we managed to stay true to our values of reliability, collaboration, and creativity. It was a busy year, our busiest so far, and collaboration is the main ingredient that made all our achievements possible. So here’s to a kinder 2021!
