The Zernike Project is a new building developed exclusively as a Student Accommodation. The scheme includes 619 beds and a 729.5 sqm area for communal spaces. The original concept for this development came from the Dutch Expressionism and a local artist called Hendrik Werkman. The building's external façade displayed coloured glazed window in a colour scheme used by Werkman for its painting. So, on the inside, A Designer at Heart used the same colour palette and added black elements to contrast it and bring an industrial feel to it. This was the first Project for Nido and we worked closely to define the brand values of Wellbeing, Sustainability, Design & Tech, and Community that we translated into interior space, textures furniture, and feel.
